Progress Score
How complete your account is, and what to do next.
What is the Progress Score?
The Progress Score gives you an at-a-glance view of how well organised you are across your estate and legacy planning, expressed as a single weighted percentage based on sliders you set for each feature.
How is the Progress Score calculated?
It is a weighted average of the slider positions across all features you have chosen to include. Moving a slider towards fully right contributes positively to your overall score, and the score updates in real time as you adjust sliders.
Can I exclude features that do not apply to my situation?
Yes. Uncheck the checkbox to the right of any feature to exclude it from the calculation entirely. If you do not have children, for example, you can exclude Child Guardians so it does not affect your result.
Is the Progress Score calculated automatically by Inheritable?
No. The score is self-assessed. You move each slider manually to reflect how complete you consider that area to be. Only you know how thoroughly each section has been addressed, so honesty gives the most meaningful result.
When should I review and update my Progress Score?
Revisit your Progress Score periodically, especially after major life changes such as marriage, the birth of a child, a house purchase, or a significant change in your finances, to ensure your planning keeps pace with your circumstances.
Sharing
How sharing works across vaults and lists.
How do I share an entry with a contact?
Open the entry you want to share, scroll to the Share With field, and tap it to select one or more of your Key Contacts. The entry will then appear in that contact's Trusted Access view. Make sure the Feature master sharing toggle for that feature is also enabled.
Does the person I share with need a VitaVault or Inheritable account?
Yes. To access shared data through Trusted Access, your contact needs an active VitaVault or Inheritable account. You can send them an invite from within the Key Contacts feature to get them set up.
Can I share different entries with different contacts?
Yes. Sharing is configured at the individual entry level, giving you full control. You might share certain financial records with your accountant, passwords with a family member, and contacts with your solicitor, all independently of each other.
How do I stop sharing data with someone?
Open the entry you no longer wish to share, go to the Share With field, and remove the contact from the selection. The entry will be removed from their Trusted Access view immediately.
What does the master sharing toggle do?
The master sharing toggle, found at the top of each feature screen, enables or disables sharing for that entire feature. If the toggle is off, no entries from that feature will be visible in anyone's Trusted Access, even if individual entries have contacts selected in their Share With field.
What does a green share icon on an entry mean?
A green share icon on an entry indicates that it is currently being actively shared with at least one contact. If the icon is not present, the entry is private. If the icon is grey, sharing has been configured but the master share feature is set to off. Tap the entry to review or adjust the Share With settings.
Is there a limit to how many contacts I can share with?
There is no fixed limit on the number of contacts you can share a single entry with. You can grant access to as many of your Key Contacts as you wish on a per-entry basis.
Can I see a summary of everything I have shared?
Sharing is managed at the entry level within each feature. To review what you are sharing and with whom, open the relevant entry and check the Share With field. We recommend reviewing your sharing settings periodically to ensure they reflect your current wishes.
