Changelogs
What has changed across Inheritable, newest first.
Inheritable app
iPhone, iPad and Android, since version 2.0.0.
Q3 2026 (July to September)
2.1.0
Safer sensitive changes
- Deleting your account, setting a recovery phrase, adding a passkey or engaging a Trusted Advisor now asks you to confirm it is really you first, using your password, Apple or Google
- If you signed up with Apple, Google or Microsoft, you can now create a password under Settings > Security
- Signing out now stops that phone receiving notifications meant for your account
Passwords
- A built-in password generator on the Password Vault form
- Copy a password in one tap
Sharing and help
- A clear safety reminder every time you switch sharing on
- Message your Trusted Advisor directly from Help & Support
Wills
- When choosing a will file, Private folders are no longer offered. Private folders are removed before handover, so a will stored there would never reach your Digital Executor
Everywhere else
- Information Hub: switch between a list and a rows view
- The welcome tour now fits comfortably with larger text settings
- On Android, the add (+) button no longer sits behind the system navigation bar
- "Reminder List" is now "Reminders List", and plan groupings match the website
2.0.6
Sign in with Microsoft
- Microsoft joins Apple, Google and passkeys as a way to sign in
- The sign-in screen marks the method you used last time
Digital Vault
- Set a reminder on any file, and see which files have one at a glance
- Tapping a reminder or notification takes you straight to the file
- Folders shared with you refresh automatically when something new is added
Contacts and wills
- Phone numbers are tidied into a consistent format and can be tapped to call
- Email and call buttons on each Key Contact
- The will acknowledgement is now a simple link and agreement, rather than a screen that blocked the form
Everywhere else
- New accounts are no longer asked for a date of birth
- The home carousel now loops smoothly
- Live Forms: the add button opens a quick menu, like To-Do Lists
- Clearer wording on sharing and executor notifications
Q2 2026 (June)
2.0.5
- Save to Inheritable: send files to your Digital Vault straight from the share sheet in other apps
- Folders inside folders in your Digital Vault, with a breadcrumb trail and the ability to move folders
- Copy an image from your vault to the clipboard
- Security badges on the sign-in screen
2.0.4
- Android: layout fixes around the navigation bar and menus, and push notifications
- A smoother upgrade screen with clearer pricing
- FAQ section icons
2.0.2 and 2.0.3: the rebuilt app
The first public release of the rebuilt Inheritable. Alongside a refreshed design on every screen, it introduced:
Organising your plans
- To-Do Lists, with notes on each item, ready-made templates and sharing
- Live Forms for the details you would otherwise keep on scraps of paper
- Reminders List, bringing every reminder into one place, soonest first
- Progress Score, showing how far through your planning you are
- Vulnerability notes in Guardian Services, kept encrypted and revealed only when you choose
Sharing with the people you trust
- A notification the moment someone shares something with you
- Shared by me, showing everything you have shared and who with
- Accept or decline an invitation to be someone's Digital Executor
- Share your contact details with a QR code
Keeping it yours
- Optional fingerprint or face lock for the app
- The app hides its contents in the app switcher and blocks screenshots of revealed information
- Financial account names and numbers, and Live Forms answers, encrypted at rest
- Changing your email address is confirmed at both the old and new address
Made to suit you
- Dark mode with a smooth transition
- Choose your country, currency and date format
- A profile photo
- Notifications and announcements, with an unread badge on the app icon
- An Information Hub on the home screen
- A short welcome tour the first time you sign in
- Password Vault shows each site's icon and a strength rating as you type
- Preview a stored will without leaving the app
Inheritable Web portal
portal.inheritable.co.uk
Q3 2026 (July to September)
1.2.0
- Product update emails, so we can tell you about new features properly rather than leaving you to find them
1.1.0
Notifications
- Fixed: when you shared something, the notification meant for the recipient could arrive on your own phone instead. It now reaches the right person
- You will no longer get a "shared with you" notice for things that are not shares, being named a child guardian, a recorded gift, an Afterword message, Vault @ Home details or a Farewell Plan invitation. Those are announced by you, when you choose
Wills
- When choosing a will file, Private folders are no longer offered. Private folders are removed before handover, so a will stored there would never reach your Digital Executor
Signing in
- Signing in to the portal now signs you in to the browser extension too, from any page rather than only the sign-in screen
- One account per email address, so a second sign-up cannot quietly create a duplicate
Everywhere else
- FAQ section icons now match the colours used across the rest of the site
Behind the scenes
- Every record is now locked to its owner by the database itself, not just by the page you are looking at
- Sensitive actions, deleting your account, setting a recovery phrase, adding a passkey, engaging a Trusted Advisor, ask you to confirm it is really you first
- 68 unused server functions retired, and the remaining ones reviewed one by one

The public launch, alongside a security review and a move to new hosting.
