Overview
Personal Will provides a structured template for creating a basic legal document that outlines your wishes for asset distribution. The template is designed to be straightforward and generally compliant with most laws for a valid will , such as being in writing, signed by the maker in the presence of two independent witnesses, and clearly expressing your intentions.
It includes placeholders for personal details which you should fill in before printing and signing. You can save your progress and return at any time to update or refresh your Will.
While we always recommend seeking professional legal advice when creating a Will, particularly for more complex estates, Personal Will is designed to suffice for straightforward arrangements in most cases.
If you already have a more detailed or professionally prepared Will, you do not have to use the in-app form. At the top of the screen you can choose Use my stored Will and select a document from your Digital Vault to act as your Will instead.
While a stored document is selected, it becomes your current Will and the in-app form is set aside (your form entries are kept safely, so you can switch back at any time). You can tap Open to preview the chosen document, or Change to pick a different one.
Whichever Will you choose, the in-app form or your own stored document, is the one made available to your Digital Executors when the time comes, so they always know which version reflects your wishes.
You can reset the form at any time using the Reset button to start fresh. If your estate is more complex , for example involving business assets, trusts or overseas property , we recommend consulting a qualified solicitor to ensure your wishes are fully protected.
